Junior Match Play

With badminton allowed again we are delighted to restart the Junior Match Plays. We are running these sessions at the SCR Cockburn Centre. Alongside players who would normally play in junior leagues and those in performance squads we really like to welcome players in clubs that haven’t been able to re-start yet.

• Dates include 
  • Thursday 8th July from 15:00-17:30
  • Thursday 15th July from 15:00-17:30
  • Age range is Secondary School ages. All players must be <18 on the date. Younger players with a national ranking (SC number) are also welcome
• Cost is £6 a session and due to Covid pre-booking via GoMembership is essential, please don’t turn up on the day
• Full refunds will be given if Covid-related changes occur.  For all other reason, only £5 will be returned to cover costs incurred.  No refund will be given with less than 48 hours before event
• Venue is SCR Cockburn Centre, 40 Bogmoor Place, Govan, Glasgow, G51 4TQ
• Matches will be a mix of singles and doubles. As far as possible, these will be based on ability, making sure everyone has a challenge and a chance to play against people they don’t play regularly
• There are six courts and a 30 player limit so there is plenty of court time available
• Will be fun and friendly, if you think it might be too hard/easy then just bring along a friend or doubles partner
